Ritual & Remains is an experimental body of work produced while on residency at Back Lane West in Redruth, Cornwall during August 2O25. The body of work explores forgotten rituals and the evidence they leave behind; in some ways a response to the Cornish landscape’s presence of ancient megalithic sites alongside more contemporary scars of the rituals of 19th century extraction. 

The body of work centres around the “shrine of the unknown ritual” installation, as a memory of the unknown and now unseen rituals that have occurred and left marks on the landscape. The installation suggests the remains of a forgotten ritual practice.
